I was born in England in 1970, raised in an military
family and always dreamed of doing something fabulous with my life. I currently reside in Arlington, Massachusetts with my husband,
whom I met online in 1993 while in college.
After college I allowed fate to dictate my path, which ended up being graphic design. After two years in Minneapolis, my husband and I moved back to Boston. He's a software engineer, and very much the logical mind. I am a designer, writer, and photographer (and the silly one in this relationship).
Raabe is my maiden
name.
It's German, and rhymes
(loosely) with Bobby. Rao is my husband's name.
It rhymes with cow.
I'm not hyphenated; I just
love alliteration. :)
Other facts: we have three cats. I love to cook and entertain. We travel a lot. We drive a Prius. And we have lots of strange and wonderful friends. |

rubicat.com is my graphic design and photography site, launched in 2003.
I work from home, offering graphic
design, web design, and photography services. My design niche is helping small businesses with logo and brand; my photography niche is pets.
I launched cavymadness.com in 1999 to help beginning guinea pig enthusiasts.
It serves as a "Guinea Pig 101" introduction, as well as a place to
sell merch. I also run pigniccentral.com,
an expansion site of CavyMadness that focuses on the various PIGnics held around the world.
For all of my online sites and profiles, just check the list at the right.
